Okay, not everyone gets to say an NBA legend watched their UAAP game.
Dwyane Wade was courtside at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, October 14, for the UAAP Season 89 men's basketball game between UST and FEU. He's in Manila for his "TADHANA: Make Your Own Way" tour with Li-Ning.
He picked a good one
FEU led 41-28 at halftime. Then UST flipped the script and won 81-69 in the first-round matchup. So yes, D-Wade got a proper comeback to watch.
He also made a quick appearance at the commentary table and spoke to the crowd during halftime.
What he told Filipino fans
"Thank you guys for the love. It's been a love-fest for a very long time from afar," Wade said. "As soon as the wheels touched down here, I felt that love."
And some love for the losing side, too: "What I saw about this FEU team is, I watch them play together and as a unit."
