Spider-Man may live in New York, but this summer, he was basically Pinoy.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" became available to rent or buy digitally in the United States on October 6, with 4K, Blu-ray and DVD releases set for December. A local digital release date for the Philippines has not been announced. While we wait, here are the moments that made Filipinos feel like part of the multiverse.

1. Jollibee crashed the London premiere (sort of)

During the film's London premiere at the ODEON Luxe Leicester Square on July 29, a fan account posted a clip of Tom Holland and Zendaya walking the carpet. In the background was the Jollibee branch nearby, with the mascot waving enthusiastically through the window. At one point, it held on to its own head, apparently to keep it from slipping. Filipinos online had one verdict: "bida-bida talaga."

2. Ben&Ben went to the movies in costume

The nine-piece band watched the film wearing Spider-Man masks and posted about it on Facebook with the caption "Nanood ng Spider-Man kahapon haha." Fans quickly turned it into jokes like "Uncle Ben... and Ben?" and "Ben&Ben the Multiverse." To be clear, the band isn't on the soundtrack. They were just very committed moviegoers.

3. Ned is one of us

Jacob Batalon, who plays Peter Parker's best friend Ned Leeds, is Filipino-American, with parents from San Manuel, Pangasinan. In an interview, he said he hopes to return to the Philippines and would love to make a buddy-cop movie here with Manny Jacinto and Nico Santos.

4. Pinoy names in the credits

Filipino comic artists Leinil Francis Yu and Stephen Segovia were named in the film's comics "special thanks" credits.

5. The LRT got the Spidey treatment

Before the premiere, LRT-1 and LRT-2 trains were wrapped in full Spider-Man designs, turning the daily commute into a promo.

6. "The Philippines is a Spidey country"

At SM City Naga, Spider-Man characters danced to "Oooh Lala Baby," and the clip went viral with that exact caption. The Department of Tourism also joined the film's closing-credits trend with its own version: "Directed by Nature. Starring The Philippines."

7. We showed up at the box office

The film earned about P95.9 million on its opening day in the Philippines, which Columbia Pictures said was the biggest Spider-Man opening day in the country and the third-biggest opening day of all time. By its second weekend, it had passed P1 billion locally.

With your friendly neighborhood Jollibee on the job, it's safe to say the Philippines is officially Spidey country.
